Countdown To Classes
We are less then two weeks away from the beginning of the 2012 session of USN Evening Classes!  We would like to thank each and every oneof you for volunteering your time and talents to Evening Classes.  It is truly the generosity and quality of our instructors that makes ours the premier evening education program in town.

Social Media for Instructors We would also like to thank those who attended our Social Media class for instructors last week and provide a few more tools for your use.  In the left hand column of this newsletter you will find a link to the power point presentation put together by USN's Britt McCauley.  For those who were not able to attend the class you may find this helpful as you think about how social media can impact your business or personal interests.  USN Evening Classes does feature three social media classes and we encourage you to consider signing up for one of these if you are interested in learning more.

212 Got Search?  Secrets of Online Marketing on January 31
213 Buzz About Social Media on February 16

Communicating About USN Evening Classes

You are essential in helping us get the USN Evening Classes word out in Nashville.  Many of our instructors have already put the power of their blogs, facebook pages and e-mail lists behind Evening Classes and the results are dramatic.  The Mason-Dixon Knitting blog, Chris Chamberlain's Bites Column, Rod Kochtitzky's web site post and The Bloomy Rind's e-mail list are just a few of the examples of instructor generated publicity that resulted in significant traffic on our website that helped to fill their own classes and many others.  Please consider publicizing your own course and USN Evening Classes in general over the next month.  Our volunteer marketing team is hard at work spreading the word about all the wonderful courses in our catalog but instructors are often their own best advertisement!  Refer to the page in the For Instructors area for more tips on communicating about USN Evening Classes.

Once again, thank you for your commitment to USN Evening Classes.  We are so grateful to you all as we work to provide need-based scholarships for USN students in grades k-12.  Over the course of 19 years we have made a significant difference in the lives of students who otherwise would not have been able to take advantage of a USN education.

Sincerely,

Mary Silva Doctor & Robin Johnson
USN Evening Classes Co-Chairs

Debra Alberts & Susan Pearlman
